The Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) Office of Communications Business Opportunities (OCBO) will be hosting a workshop on capitalization strategies for Small and Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs) in the telecommunications industry on November 12, 2009 from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm at FCC headquarters, 445 12th Street, SW, Washington, DC 20554.

The workshop will address broadband opportunities for small and disadvantaged businesses and will focus on the availability of financing for the growth and purchase of telecommunications facilities related to broadband technologies. The workshop will also explore capitalization in cable, wireless, TV and radio broadcasting, common carrier facilities, and ancillary services.

There will be two panels. The first panel will discuss public funding strategies, and the second panel will discuss private funding strategies.
